Yes, there are situations when you will need to trim an end off a 2x4 so that you can use it with the Loadbar XL. To maximize the strength of the system, the board needs to be 3 inches shorter or less than the inside width of the trailer. Please reference the Loadbar XL instructions or video for more details.
